Check if Your Device Supports eSIM

Before purchasing a TravelSIMPro eSIM, make sure your device supports eSIM technology and is carrier unlocked. Compatibility can vary by exact model, carrier and the country or region where the device was purchased.

How to Check if Your Phone Supports eSIM

Quick compatibility check

On many phones, dial *#06# and look for an EID number. If an EID appears, your phone supports eSIM. If it does not appear, check your device settings or the manufacturer's specifications - some compatible phones do not display the EID through this code.

On iPhone

1. Open Settings.
2. Tap General, then About.
3. Look for an EID in the device information.
4. To check the carrier lock, find Carrier Lock. No SIM Restrictions means the iPhone is carrier unlocked.

You can also open Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data) and look for Add eSIM.

On Android

Menus vary by manufacturer and software version. Open Settings, then look under Connections, Network & Internet, SIM Manager or Mobile Network for an Add eSIM option. You can also check the device information for an EID.

Common eSIM-Compatible Devices

This is a practical guide, not a complete model list. Always confirm the exact device if you are unsure.

Apple iPhone

iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR and later eSIM-capable iPhone models generally support eSIM. Availability can vary by country or region, and some models sold for mainland China, Hong Kong or Macao use different SIM configurations.

Samsung Galaxy

Many Galaxy S20 and later S-series devices and Galaxy Z Fold/Flip models support eSIM. Selected Galaxy A-series and other Samsung models also support eSIM. Support can vary by the exact model and country of origin.

Google Pixel

Pixel 4 and later models support eSIM. Pixel 3 and Pixel 3a have carrier and regional exceptions, so those models should be checked individually before purchase.
