Frequently Asked Questions About TravelSIMPro eSIMs

Find answers to common questions about purchasing, installing, and using your TravelSIMPro eSIM.

An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM built into a compatible device. It lets you install a mobile plan without inserting a physical SIM card.

TravelSIMPro eSIMs are normally installed using the QR code and plan-specific instructions supplied with your order.

Your TravelSIMPro eSIM is normally delivered by email shortly after a completed purchase. Most orders arrive within a few minutes, but occasional supplier or processing delays can occur.

The email contains your eSIM QR code and plan-specific setup information.

If it does not arrive promptly, check your Spam or Junk folder and confirm the email address used during checkout. If it is still missing, contact support@travelsimpro.com with your order number.

Review your plan's activation or validity policy before installing. In many cases, you can install the eSIM before travel while you have a reliable internet connection.

Many plans begin their validity when the eSIM first connects to a supported network in the coverage area, while some plans begin when the eSIM is installed. Follow the instructions supplied with your plan and see our Installation & Troubleshooting for setup steps.

No. On supported dual-SIM devices, you can usually keep your primary SIM installed while using a TravelSIMPro eSIM. Exact dual-SIM behavior varies by device and software version.

Many travelers use the travel eSIM for mobile data and keep their primary line available for their regular number. Check your home carrier's roaming settings and charges before leaving that line enabled abroad.

TravelSIMPro offers both data-only plans and plans that include calls and/or SMS.

Check the What's Included section on the plan page before purchase to confirm the exact data, call and SMS allowances for that eSIM.

With a data-only plan, you can still use internet-based calling and messaging apps such as:

  • WhatsApp
  • FaceTime
  • Signal
  • Telegram

Do not delete an eSIM that you still plan to use unless TravelSIMPro support specifically instructs you to do so. Some eSIM profiles may not be reinstallable after deletion.

If you are not using the eSIM temporarily, turn the line off rather than deleting the profile.

If you accidentally delete it, contact support@travelsimpro.com and include your order number before purchasing a replacement.

Generally, no. An eSIM is intended for use on one device and normally cannot be transferred to another device after installation.

Reinstallation on the same device may be possible for some profiles but not others. Contact support@travelsimpro.com before deleting, reinstalling or attempting to move an active eSIM.

Please check the following:

• Ensure the eSIM is turned on and selected as your mobile data line
• Follow the data-roaming setting specified in your plan instructions
• Confirm you are in a supported coverage area and follow any APN or network-selection instructions supplied with your plan
• Restart your device

If the issue persists, contact support@travelsimpro.com and include your order number.
